Human Resource Staff of Generic Pharmaceutical Companies Benefit From a Presentation Regarding Cost Management Trends and Innovative Rewards Programs

Yolanda Mendez, President of Global HR Concepts LLC of Flanders, New Jersey recently served as keynote speaker at ORC Worldwide’s Annual P3 Pharmaceutical Roundtable Meeting at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Marina Del Ray, California on September 15, 2008. ORC is a leading global HR consulting firm, serving many of the world’s largest pharmaceutical, medical device, and consumer product companies. The P3 network provides an environment for companies to network, build relationships and discuss human resource issues and challenges. This year’s meeting was attended by human resource representation of companies from many areas across the country.
In her presentation, Ms. Mendez revealed some of the latest trends that have been identified following the recent swing in economic conditions. The information provided was supported by research conducted by credible resources such as the Society for Human Resource Management, as well as other nationally recognized sources. Of particular interest were portions of her presentation which covered the reactions of companies to declining 401k plan values and the design and implementation of non-cash incentive programs. These topics were especially popular given the current market conditions and the fact that many companies are seeking innovative ways to motivate, reward and retain key employees in the face of limited corporate budgets.
